Our Story
Gejay Agencies was founded in 1990 by Geoff Ambler, built on a foundation of honesty, hard work, and genuine relationships.
Starting as a one-man operation, Geoff quickly earned a reputation for reliability and care. Values that continue to shape the business today.
In 2005, Geoff proudly passed the reins to his daughter Karen Thornhill and her husband Wayne Thornhill, who brought new energy and growth while staying true to the company’s roots. Under their leadership, Gejay expanded its services and reach, continuing to represent the same brands with the same integrity and dedication.
In 2024, the next generation joined the team, with Ashli Thornhill stepping in to support account management and operations, marking an exciting new chapter for the family business.
Though now retired, Geoff remains a proud part of the Gejay story Cheering from the sidelines and enjoying his lawn bowls while watching the company thrive.

Karen Thornhill – Owner & Director
Karen has led Gejay since 2005. She brings leadership, warmth, and deep retail knowledge to every part of the business.
Wayne Thornhill – Head of Sales
Wayne oversees independent supermarket accounts and wholesale. He’s known for his strong relationships and strategic thinking
Sally Ryan – Account Manager
Sally leads our premium merchandising teams and ensures store displays are always exceptional.
Ashli Thornhill – Account Manager and Admin
Ashli manages major retail accounts and keeps the office running smoothly with her background in operations and admin.
